I had the opportunity to work on the Board of the Red Cross of Delmarva for a few years. This was a tremendously rewarding experience as the Red Cross helps some many people, not only reactively in their time of need, but also in helping them prepare for disaster through training, home preparation, etc.
I resigned from the Board when I left the Delaware Valley area for my new job with Allstate in the Chicago area, though I certainly look forward to similar work in Chicago once I get settled.
I share this in hopes that some might be inspired and donate, whether in time or financially.
