Notre Dame one of first universities to accept Chase contactless card with Visa’s blink
I really enjoyed my time working with the Notre Dame team. During our tenure together we had a number of successes, this being one of them. Our goal here was to implement technology that would drive a better experience for fans that carried the Notre Dame credit card from Chase. It would make their purchasing process much quicker. We might have been a little bit ahead of our time as even now, in 2013, this technology is still taking hold.
Wilmington, Del., Oct. 9, 2007 — Chase Card Services, a division of JPMorgan Chase & Co.[NYSE: JPM], and the University of Notre Dame today announced the acceptance of blink at Notre Dame Stadium and the Joyce Center. Cardmembers will be able to use their Notre Dame Visa Card with blink at more than 60 concession stands throughout the campus, allowing them to get back to the excitement of the game and spend less time in line.
Notre Dame blink Visa card
Chase cards with blink redefine the payment experience for cardmembers by providing increased speed and convenience and reducing transaction time by as much as 40 percent. To use Chase cards with blink, cardmembers simply hold their card near a point-of-sale terminal at checkout, instead of swiping their card or handing it to a concessions’ employee. As cardmembers place their Chase card with blink in front of the point-of-sale terminal, the terminal will quickly emit a signal to acknowledge payment confirmation.
“Notre Dame will be one of the first universities to enable their sports complexes to accept Chase cards with blink,” said James Rosseau, senior vice president, Chase Card Services. “Bringing this innovation to Fightin’ Irish fans will make long concession lines a thing of the past, and get fans back to their seats to cheer the Irish on to victory.”
